Finding someone to take over the store and reducing the inventory are the primary goals of Lafayette Music right now and take precedence over our traditional teacher benefits. If you would like to appear on our lesson referral pages, we are continuing to offer that option. Just let us know.
Lafayette Music is now located in the Forest Park Village Shopping Center. Our address is 1361 Forest Park Circle Suite 106. We are directly across the parking lot from Martino's Pizza. Our new space is much smaller than the old space, but located in a park like setting. We still have a lot of merchandise in storage so if you see something on our website that is not in the store just ask and we can check to see if it is in storage. We are happy to help in any way that we can.

E-mail notification policy - Almost all our teacher specials are announced via e-mail. If you have supplied us with an e-mail address but have not received any e-mail messages from us for several months, we may have an invalid e-mail address on file or your spam filter may be set to automatically reject our mailings.
Standard discounts - Active teachers are eligible for a 10% discount on all regularly priced or permanently marked down music, accessories and gift items. Some exclusions apply and this discount may or may not be allowed in addition to other promotional offers depending on the offer.
Student Appreciation Program - Every active private teacher, whether or not on the teacher referral list, is automatically enrolled in the Student Appreciation Program. To take full advantage of the program, all you have to do is come by the store and pick up some Student Appreciation Cards. Print your name on the card, sign it, fill in your student's name and date it. Then, every time your student presents this card when purchasing music, accessories or gift items at Lafayette Music, the student receives a 10% discount.

If you are a private music instructor teacher who is currently actively engaged in teaching on a full or part time basis, you are eligible to receive our teacher discount of 10% on your purchases. Also, if you wish, to be included on our online teacher referral list all you need to do is come to the store and fill out a teacher application. To encourage teachers to take advantage of this offer, we give a one-time additional 10% discount on a single purchase of any size subject to certain exclusions. [Downloads, gift certificates, instrument rentals, repairs and some already discounted items are excluded from this offer.] This is our way of thanking you for providing us with the information we need in order to stock the items that you want to purchase here. As an additional incentive we give the private teachers who sign up with us "student appreciation discount cards" that they can give to their students so that they may qualify for a 10% discount as well. Teachers will receive a 5% rebate every 6 months based on what they spend and what their students spend. Rebate periods are Jan 1 through June 31 and July 1 through Dec 31. Rebates will be kept on the books for 12 months if they are not redeemed for merchandise. If you think that you may have a rebate just ask at the desk when you check out.
